A Note from the Founder, Cherie Weir

Do you love having peace of mind when leaving your home and pets for work or vacation? I'm Cherie Weir, owner of Beachwalk Pet Concierge. I started this business for my genuine and lifetime love of all pets.  Home is where the heart is, and where your pets are comfortable. Why board your pets in a place where they might be afraid or anxious? I'm here to alleviate that worry.  Pet sitting is my calling, and I look forward to assisting you and your pets!  As a lifelong pet owner with a love for travel, I know how important it is to keep our beloved pets happy and safe, and the importance of finding a trustworthy, loving person to care for them while we are away. I'm here for you for that reason. Our company specializes in multiple pet households and senior pet care, but we love all age pets, single pet households, and dog walks as well.

I grew up on a farm in North Central Indiana, and I've loved and cared for pets my entire life.  We had horses, cats, dogs, and rabbits. In my lifetime I've also had large parrots, small birds, fish, and every caged and terrarium pet from Guinea Pigs to lizards and turtles. I grew up caring for, training, and and showing horses.  From a young age I helped take care of our farm. I started pet sitting in 8th grade, riding my bike to neighbors homes to care for their pets while they vacationed. In my adult life I have worked for Italian Greyhound Rescue and fostering, performing home evaluations for adoptions, and permanent placements for them to find their forever home.  I am married to a great husband, and we have two beautiful children, and four sighthound whippets, a parrot, and fish of our own. I know how to keep pets safe from escape when walking and caring for them. I've owned and loved sighthounds for over 20 years.  Animals of all kinds have been my lifelong love.
